ARGHH this isnt what i ordered i am annoyed

it was super cheap but took over a month to get here and >:/ it’s not what was in the picture, which was completely smooth on top besides two lil ridges i could cover with the strawberry leaves.

i can tentatively sand off the little notches, but the cap itself is so angular it’ll look Really Dumb as her driving helmet ugh ugh ugh i am so annoyed by this seller

i can make it work if i have to but after all the work i put into the rest of the costume, i ddont want the helmet to look like shit

my bump cap for taffyta came in the mail but!!!! it’s so different from the picture….!!! >:/  instead of being super smooth on top it’s got maybe six edges around the top, like umm imagine a pyramid that’s got a bunch of sides…. and it looks lame………………… theres also holes in the sides 

if i cared more about this cosplay i’d get another lmao but i just want to be done with it

sure thing! i dont feel like putting it on but here’s everything so far (the collar is a band from an old sweatshirt, adding that later tonight)

heres a close-up of the dress, its SUPER GLITTERY and didnt even come out too stiff! i’ll be shedding a bit of glitter everywhere but i’m sure boston will survive

ive gotten really far on taffyta!!! ♥♥♥

all I have left to do:

1. sew white ribbon onto jacket
2. sew collar onto jacket
3. paint + make leaves for helmet

this cosplay turned out to be a lot more work than I thought it would be but i am excited to have it close to done

I bought some red glitter spray that works on fabric for my taffyta dress - that sure didn’t work too well. It just sort of sunk into the dress, the glitter bits were so so tiny they didn’t even show up. Plus the spray ended up making it really uneven, so I washed it out.

Would spraying the dress in hairspray then sprinkling loose glitter on it work, do you think? I don’t really care/mind if the glitter is permanent, but I don’t want it to end up clumped or gross looking….

• dye dress with Pink RIT
• possibly redye dress with some pink+fuschia RIT
• spray dress with fabric glitter
• make stencil for white squiggles
• paint on white squiggles
• make leg tubes
• put on leggings + tape spirals
• fabric paint design
• fabric paint shoes

prob tomorrow:

• sew / baste on white stripes on jacket
• cut off jacket hood???? experiment

am I reading this right…… that it’s still only $20 (looking at bright red circle lenses) even if you order with a prescription?
